Our Story Текст: It started on Christmas Eve, 1994. The first Happy restaurant opened its doors in Varna, Bulgaria - a city on the Black Sea coast - and the response was immediate. Within months, a second site had opened. Then another. Then another. Thirty-one years later, Happy has grown into one of Europe's most recognised casual dining brands, with over 35 restaurants across Bulgaria, five in Barcelona, and our flagship London restaurant sitting proudly in the heart of Piccadilly Circus. What's never changed? The people behind it. Happy has been family-run from day one, and that comes through in everything - the warmth of the welcome, the consistency across every site, and a genuine belief that a great meal should be accessible to everyone. No airs, no pretension. Just brilliant food, a beautiful room and a team that means it. London was always the next chapter. And we're still only just getting started.

The first restaurant of the Happy Bar & Grill chain was opened in Varna, the sea pearl of Bulgaria, on Christmas Eve – 24 December 1994. Embraced by the local people, soon enough, on 06 July 1995 it was followed by the second start-up, thus launching the largest and fast-growing chain of daily restaurants in the country. Nowadays, the company manages and develops +35 Happy restaurants in Bulgaria, five more in Barcelona, Spain and our newest location in Piccadilly Circus, London, UK. Our restaurants are located in the bussiest places with the highest footfall numbers.
